Street Dance
Once you're geared up and have the clothes that will have you looking like a music video star it's time to hit those dance classes. And so the real work begins.
But fear not it's actually a lot of fun, though you might find it really hard at first. But you know what they say, if it's worth doing then it's worth working hard for.
You might at first think it is so much to learn, so many different moves that you have to learn in a dance routine, but that's just because you're new.
Once you've done it a few times then you'll realise that actually they teach just about the right amount in each class so that you can get better over time.
When you're in the hang of things you'll have so much fun, it's brilliant when you start learning and the first time you remember a routine is an amazing feeling.
The first few times you might not even remember half the routine, but when you get a whole routine you'll see how far you've come and why the dance class is taught the way that it is.
You might even see people newer than you in the street dance classes after a while and see that you weren't that bad when you started after all - it just takes a bit of practice to get the hang of it.
Remember when you're taking dance classes that you want to try to look like the teacher as much as possible. They will be able to help you make the moves and the routines look better.
It takes a bit of concentration to try and remember a move and to do it a specific way but you'll get used to this as well.
When your co-ordination and memory of the moves gets better you'll look forward to your classes and they won't be as scary as when you started.
You might even start having dreams of dancing in music videos once again. Of course you need to work your way up starting from beginners level and then progressing onto the harder classes when you are ready for them.
With each level you step up there is a learning curve involved as well just like the very first time you do any street dance lesson, and so be patient and know that you will get there in the end if you're persistent.
